ONLY IN LOUISIANA !!

Ok, so it is Saturday afternoon my Mom calls me said she needed to run to the store and would I like to go. When Mom arrived at the house I asked her if she would mind going to the large Walmart on O'Neal I needed to pick up some sewing notions.

While in the produce department my son JP walks up to say hello he had seen us walk in. I asked him what he was up to , and he replied waiting for the parade to start. Well I asked him at least two more time because I wasn't sure I understood what he meant.

Yep it was a parade alright, right thru the Store, cups , beads, and candy and not to be undone a King and Queen!! ONLY IN LOUISIANA!!

THE DOGGIE DOOR AND COLD WEATHER !!

10:00pm and all is not quite, JP calls his Dad something in his bathroom and it has a white tail. They get a close look and a mouse it is!! Best guess is that with the cold weather he came thru the doggie door.

THE CHASE IS ON........sorry that the pictures are not the best but it was very hard to hold still. In the hall Dudley standing on the trap with his weapon and you can barely see the back end of Damsel sniffing behind the trunk at the end of the hall. Down the hall to the living room and in to the conservatory. Rebel the cat has our backs when JP finds him hiding up in a window , and with one swift swing of the (plastic) bat the critter has dropped to the floor and between Dudley , JP, and Damsel they have chased him out the door.

Last picture my HERO'S

Relationships

Well folks it is 2007! And at the end of this month Dudley and I celebrate 25 years of marriage, last night my mind was on overload with thoughts of last year and the last 25 years and what I would like to see anew with my self for this coming year.

COMPASSION...I would like more compassion for the people in my life that I struggle with the relationship that is set in place at this very moment.

JUDGMENT... I would like not to jump to an opinion about anyone or any situation, may I remember that prayer will always work best.

LOVE... I would like to always remember that Love is a gift that we all hold and that maybe we should not hold on quite so tightly with the fear of being hurt. May we share this gift with everyone that we know and may cross our path.

FLOW... "Just go with the flow".....When the three points above are in working order then it will be much easier to acquirer the FLOW. Honestly, God has already mapped my life out and I may not know where it will lead, but I must always remember that God not me is in control.

May you not be defined by you job or your title but by you HEART!

Love and Peace to all my Family & Friends

I Thought This Was Good!

A good Friend sent this to me ,I thought this was good.

I love the last paragraph!

The Necessity of the Desert by Os Hillman, September 6, 2006
..."I have become an alien in a foreign land." - Exodus 2:22God's preparation of a leader involves training, extended times of waiting, pain, rejection, and isolation. Are you ready to sign up?Moses was brought up in Pharaoh's court. He had the very best of everything-education, clothing, food, and personal care. But there came a time when the man God would use to free an entire people from slavery was going to have to learn to be the leader God wanted. At age 40, when most of us want to be thinking about winding down instead of beginning a new career, Moses was forced to flee to the desert.Like Joseph and Abraham, Moses had to endure some difficult years of preparation that first involved removal from his current situation. He went from notoriety to obscurity, from limitless resources to no resources, from activity and action to inactivity and solitude. And, most importantly, waiting. And waiting. And waiting. He probably thought he would die in the land of Midian.

Then one day, a full 40 years from the day he arrived, God appeared to Moses in a burning bush. Everything changed. God said, "It is time." The years had seasoned the vessel to prepare him to accomplish the work.God is preparing many workplace believers today. The circumstances may be different. The time frames may not be quite as long. But the characteristics of the training are still the same. Do not try to shortcut the desert time of God. It only leads to cul-de-sacs, which force you to revisit the lessons you are meant to learn. Embrace them, so that He can use your life for something extraordinary.

OK...OK...OK...OK!

Ok, I know it has been almost a month since my last post. There is way too much going on in my life and at this point in time I am finding it very hard to juggle everything.

My VERY good friend had surgery this month ,and is out of work for about another four weeks and since she is also a co-worker I am working two shifts at work: 7a.m. till 6:p.m. every day (Yes Saturday's and Sundays, hours are not as long on weekends) And the Book! well that's another story all together, spending every extra minute on all the notes for the book.

But I must also say that I have also had some great Family time with Dudley, JP, and his girlfriend Heather this month sooooooooooo after all of that I slip in to the tub and fall in bed....the blog has been the last thing I have thought about.

The "Next" Button !

The thought that I need to blog has been rolling around in my mind ..need to blog ...need to blog. I have been in to everyones blog even people that I don't know!

I was tempted the other day when I noticed the "next blog" button, so I clicked. Yep! there are some.... ummmm shall we say different people out there, but on the flip side I saw some of the most beautiful pictures, read some of the funniest stuff, and wept at some true raw emotions.

So if you are ever tempted or maybe just a little bored just give the "next blog" button a click, you will never get the same one twice always in random order.

Melissa Brumfield

On June 27, twentyone years ago I gave birth to a Beautiful baby girl, Melissa Sue.
Our family was so blessed to have her for 18 years. So of course with June 27th right around the corner, my mind has been playing that what if game. Turning 21 is always a big deal for most teenagers , so knowing this would of been her 21st birthday I play out many different seniros of what that big day would of been like for her. (I am sure we all know what she would of wanted for that Birthday and what she would of planed) But what I wanted to let friends and family know I have found that grief is a strange animal and not a like for any two people and as a family each one of us miss her sooooo much and grieves differently, we all stand firm in our faith and the promises of God that Melissa is in our future!! And this is what I have come to know: In the natural I want answers (the why?) but in my spirit I know the answer, in the natural I am grieving, but my spirit knows it is ok!

Though these types of important dates are hard and serve as a reminder she is gone they do hold some of the best memories. God has never left us and our strength comes from him, as we continue to seek his face in all things, he continues to show us where he was in Melissa's life and himself in our lives now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE!!
Love ya,
Mom

Family

This was a great weekend! Dudley's parents came in from Houston for a visit. It has been close to 3 years since they have been over to the house. Dudley and I took off Friday , Saturday and JP was able to get Friday and Saturday night off.

Sorry I have no pictures of the visit but if you check out www.jpblogspot.com or www.heatheraliseblogspot.com they also talk about the visit and might even have some pictures. I know on JP's he has a video of Micky making sushi.

It was a great visit and a reminder of how important family is and should be to all of us.

We love you guys and thanks for making the trip we know how hard it was for you all to come to the house it meant sooo much.

I had to laugh!

Had to post this picture, I thought it was on the funny side. Today Dudley and I went to the 12:00 noon service. We left the house around 11:25, can I tell you that at 11:38 it was raining so hard I couldn't even see the car ahead of us. I would have to say one of the differences from the 10:00 service and the 12:00 o'clock service is that we were able to park fairly close to the Church and we had our own umbrella so we were able to make it in with out to much fuss. However some people were not so lucky and true to HPC the Staff was running people in and out with umbrellas, but as JP explained it to me the people ran so fast they would have to run with the umbrella extend over them and they would be left out from underneath the umbrella. Anyway (sorry I know I am rambling) after service I caught a glance at JP in gym shorts and a HPC tee with his crocks on. Now I know good and well when he left the house this morning at 6:45 am he was dressed in a pair of nice dress slacks and a white dress shirt .

They had to change into dry clothes....What ever they had in there cars. As JP walked his father and I out there was Tyler standing by the front door tell people goodbye as they left....His out fit was a little more out there than JP's. Tyler was wearing a suit jacket, tee, and Hawaiian swim trucks and flip flops.... Like I said I just had to laugh!
